We, as Dutch Flow Academy, are proud to host the Level 2 Mace Certification for the first time in Belgium. If you enjoyed the level 1 course, you will be blown away by the contents and experiences of level 2.
Goal
Level 2 is designed for those who want to step up their game as an instructor and are willing to dive deeper within themselves to be able to have a bigger impact on their students. As a main theme, you’ll be guided in the art of teaching single arm mace techniques. This will help you as an instructor with a system for your more advanced students who are willing to continue and uplift their mace practice. In level 2 you will go through a detailed process to learn how to teach and organise a workshop. We will pay a lot more attention on the mastery of coaching and discuss multiple teaching methodologies for you to become a more well rounded instructor. This will involve diving deeper into yourself through self exploratory exercises. Furthermore level 2 will be a place where experienced instructors come together to learn from each other and to create a powerful community of instructors who will keep spreading the art the mace.
Three Phases
Phase 1
The initial phase of the Mace Instructor Certification Course is done online and before the start of phase 2, the live certification. It involves completing two online courses, Mace Flow SIX and Gada/Mace SIX. These courses are extensive and require the student to spend more time with the mace than the introductory 101 courses. Through these courses you will learn the most prominent single arm swings, and more complex flows. Completing these courses successfully will properly prepare you for the level 2 instructor certification.
Phase 2
During 5 days we’ll come together as a group to an experience that will change your life. We will take off where we finished with level 1 and go deep into mace, workshop and teaching methodology. Everyone present during this certification is a level 1 instructor already and has gone through Phase 1 beforehand. This means a combined depth of knowledge and experience that will catapult us into a deep process from day 1. Some of the topics for the level 2 course include: single arm mace techniques, teaching methodologies, storytelling, workshop organisation, breath, anatomy, flow, benefits, group exercises, and much more.
Phase 3
Phase 3 starts after completing the level 2 instructor certification. You will be added to a special level 2 instructor group which will meet regularly through online calls. This is to ensure that our level 2 instructors are up to date on the latest developments, and will have proper guidance in their advances to instruct more often with more depth. The syllabus that’s included in the certification is elaborate and will give you all the details needed in written format.
