Join thousands of people experiencing the benefits of breathwork and let your breath set you free.
Breathwork is the lighthouse guiding us into calmer waters, allowing us to relax and recalibrate.
YOUR BODY KEEPS THE SCORE
Imagine that your emotions are like water: free-flowing, fluid, and giving life to who you are, past, present, and future.
Our nervous systems have a natural response that helps us deal with stressful situations in everyday life. In some circumstances there may not have been ample opportunities to fully process these situations and debrief, problem-solve, resolve and recover.
In these moments, the energy of these emotions freezes within your body and, over time, accumulates to form an iceberg, negatively impacting your mental health in many cases.
What this translates into is the buildup of stored tension in the body, contributing to the development and expression of conscious or unconscious patterns, behaviours, limiting beliefs, body responses and personality traits, which all reflect the story of the growing iceberg.
The iceberg then becomes an extra load to carry around and can impact the lives and families of individuals and future generations.
It’s common to address these unprocessed emotional experiences through conventional therapies involving talking about, unpacking or revisiting these emotions. This approach can be likened to trying to thawing out the iceberg and letting it slowly melt in the Sun.
What if you could learn to work with your breath in a way, that could be likened to having access to a Sledge Hammer to smash this iceberg to pieces?
Welcome to Breakthrough Breathwork, where your breath can set you free!
WHAT IS BREATHWORK AND CONSCIOUS BREATHING?
Breathwork is an umbrella term describing a wide range of conscious breathing practices which promote awareness, self-regulation and profound personal transformation with the intention of enhancing inner peace, health and wellbeing.
Breathing, beyond the basic need for survival, acts as a bridge between spirit, mind, and body; between the conscious and the subconscious. “Breakthrough Breathwork” is one of the quickest ways to open the heart and energise the body. Many of our customers describe our signature Breathwork session as transformational and reflect on an experience filled with release in which they can let go of negative feelings and trauma.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING BREAKTHROUGH BREATHWORK?
Breakthrough Breathwork combines the wisdom of ancient healing practices with modern techniques to unlock your potential. It’s a dynamic fusion that connects the elements of your being to achieve a state of harmony.
You are guided through both slower-than-normal breathing and faster-than-normal normal breathing to open your heart and let your breath set you free.
Decades of scientific research indicate the benefits of breathwork can include:
-
- Reduced stress, anxiety or depression
-
- Improved deep sleep
-
- Enhanced cardiovascular performance
-
- Improved respiratory function
-
- Increased energy levels
-
- Enhanced immunity recovery/resilience
-
- and even reduced pain levels
Tapping into a range of breathing techniques
We will demonstrate and deliver techniques to help you BREATHE LESS and experience the delicate dance between oxygen and carbon dioxide, so your respiratory rate has a soothing effect on all bodily systems.
At the end of the event you likely will fee calm and relax, and there will be support from the Breathless Expedition team if you would like to explore more about how breath work training could support you on the journey to personal growth, heal or empowering your mind body relationship.

On Saturday the 22nd of March 2024 head coach Harbert will teach a four hour workshop on Heavy Club and Heavy Clubs. This is your chance to learn an extensive and unique perspective on heavy clubs from one of the most experienced and knowledgable teachers in the world.
WHAT
For the Heavy Club part we’ll focus on a single club. This training tool is also known as a clubbell, mugdar, bulava, or a short gada. Training with a Heavy Club is an ancient holistic movement practice that works the entire body. The approach you’ll learn is based upon different modern and ancient methods combining it together with the Dutch Flow Method. You’ll learn the most important exercises and concepts to understand how to use the tool effectively. A heavy Club will strengthen your arms and shoulders, increase stability, and mobility to make them bulletproof. Compared to Heavy Clubs there’s an emphasis on the lower body too. How to connect the upper body with the lower body in the most effective way. After this workshop you’ll be competent in the basics of the Heavy Club, and will have a good idea of how to progress and use the system for that.
In the second part of the workshop we’ll increase the complexity by swinging two clubs instead of one. Again, this practice goes back thousands of years and has its origin in areas like Iran and India. The Persian Meel practice has been a big influence in the way we teach this swing category. Working two limbs at the same time is a challenge, but because you’ll already have learned the basics of swinging a single club, you will be able to integrate this skill quickly. With Heavy Clubs there’s less of a focus on the lower body and more of a focus on static strength that is required from the arms. Learning how to use the left independently from the right is an amazing skill and has been proven to be extremely healthy both physically and mentally. Aside from the weight, you’ll also get a great brain workout during the Heavy Clubs part.
FOR WHOM
This workshop is for both beginners and experienced practitioners. This is because the theory behind the Heavy Club and Heavy Clubs is most important for you to understand how swings move from one to the other and how you can create your own style of swinging. Both parts start from the beginning and you’ll be able to follow along easily. Furthermore there is a variety of clubs and gada’s/maces available on the day of the workshop.
COACH
Harbert has been coaching groups and clients for over 8 years with clubs. He went to India seven times to discover the history of the mace and wooden clubs. He was also taught by the worlds best club and mace teachers and has been spreading the word all over the world.
DETAILS
The workshop will start at 13:00 and will end at 17:00. The location is at YogaToday situated in Weesp, which is 30 minutes away with the train from Amsterdam.

Event Details
On Sunday the 23nd of March 2024 head coach Harbert will teach a four hour workshop on Indian Clubs (light clubs) and Mace Flow. This is your chance to learn an extensive and unique perspective on clubs and maces from one of the most experienced and knowledgable teachers in the world.
WHAT
For the Mace Flow part we’re going to focus on techniques that are designed for relatively lighter maces. You’re going to learn a comprehensive system, the Dutch Flow Method, to help you understand the mace in a complete sense. We’re going to dive deep into fundamental swings and exercises and will apply the foundations to them. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and be corrected in your technique. After this workshop you’ll be competent in the basics of the mace, and will have a good idea of how to progress and use the system for that. Training with mace flow will spark your creativity in movement while developing your strength, conditioning, balance, coordination, and a lot more.
Training with Indian Clubs is an ancient sport/art form that focusses on the whole arm, the shoulders, and the core as primary movers. These relatively light clubs are an English adaptation on the wooden clubs they saw in India and from there an infinite amount of variety of swinging motions was created. Training with Indian Clubs is a combination of coordination, strength, mobility, proprioception, and spacial awareness, which train the body and the mind at the same time. In this workshop you’ll learn the vital foundations to approach these clubs, you’ll learn key exercises, and finally you’ll learn how to transition between different exercises.
FOR WHOM
This workshop is for both beginners and experienced practitioners. This is because the theory behind the Indian Clubs and Mace Flow is most important for you to understand how swings move from one to another and how you can create your own style of swinging. It will help if you have experience in the amount of weight you can use and how quickly you can adapt, but beginners are definitely able to do it too. Both parts start from the beginning and you’ll be able to follow along easily. Furthermore there is a variety of clubs and gada’s/maces available on the day of the workshop.
